No Dogs  Takes more than an hour  Scenic view  Significant hike  Dangerous Animals  Parking available  No Drinking water nearby  No Motorcycles  No Quads  No Off-road vehicles  No Snowmobiles  Long Hike (+10km)  No Fuel Nearby  No Food Nearby

I recall vividly a series of "U-Tube"-type caricatures of Snarl Kingvenga.  They “played” between early spring 2005 and late June 2011; I think about the remarkable, revealing, episodes from time-to-time.

Have a nice hike to find Snarlo’s cache.  It's located on U.S. Forest Service property but access is via the trail system of Bobcat Ridge Natural Area.  Dogs are not allowed in this Natural Area. Budget sufficient time, and in the summer plan be down from the higher elevations before any afternoon thunderstorms roll in!

In good shape. Nothing in it but a log sheet, so I added a skull for Halloween.

Today: Sunny and about 70 degrees. Two days from now: Winter storm watch and 4 to 6 inches of snow expected. Needless to say, a great day for a hike at Bobcat Ridge and a couple of caches. TFTC!

Well, I'm back in the area. I approached this from the Eden Valley spur trail. A good stiff hike up to this one. Thanks for placing this and making my hike a geo hike! First Colo find for 2017. #1565.

After animjason, Denali41, and I completed our adventure logging "Traditional Geocache" this morning, I headed for Bobcat Ridge to get a little hike in. It was just before 11 am when I arrived at the parking area and the temperature was in the low 80s. That meant it was going to be a warm hike since there is no shade on the trail to the cache. Fortunately there was some breeze so it wasn't unbearable.

So I headed up the trail and had a very nice stroll to GZ. I did make the brim of my cap wet with sweat but it's always a good sweat when it is prompted by a hike! After reaching GZ it was a quick find and I happily signed the log in the STF position.

Thanks Denali41 for placing another fine cache on Bobcat Ridge!!! It's always a great place to get out and get some exercise. But when we are together next time you will have to tell me more about the origin of the cache name. My Google searches have not been successful.

It has been a while since we hiked Bobcat Ridge, so when notice of this new cache was announced we decided that it would be a good one to pursue. And pursue, we did. The trail to this cache was quite circuitous hence keeping the elevation gain of about 1500' at a steady rate. Along the way we paid Robert Frost his due.

The overview from this elevation was thrilling. The red rock contrasted with the deep blues of the reservoirs in the distance. We also remembered the vast destruction of the burned and downed trees from a hike along a different route to similar elevation here. We were pleased to find an empty log and signed it in the first position at noon today. Thanks for this nice spot.
