Great family cache!!   It is in a wonderfully scenic area and a great location to hike, picnic, fish and just be in Colorado's great outdoors!  The cache would be easy to moderate in difficulty.

The cache is a typical ammo box.

This area is one of our family's favorite places to "hangout" outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, geocaching or just plain relaxing.  We placed this cache on a trail out of the Bruno Gulch Rd up in Guenella Pass.  If you park at the public corral area  and follow the trail, you are approximately a 1/2 mile from the cache.  You can drive up to a road closed area, but it turns into a 4x4 only road.  If you have the time, the cache is on a great trail (fairly easy hiking for families even with youngsters), bring some snacks and hike the trail a ways!  We have seen lots of different wildlife while hiking this trail and there are many spots where the scenery is absolutely fantastic.  We hope that you will enjoy the cache and escpecially the beautiful location in one of Colorado's great mountains.

It is at approximately 8800 ft. in elevation So dress appropriately.

Found while camping in the area as we were celebrating our 30th aniversrry. Trail reminded us how out of shape we are this summer. Still not a bad hike.

A beautiful day to be out and about on Guanella Pass, there are still a few spots of nice aspen color. Made the drive up towards this one and made it to about 0.3 mi away before deciding to walk on in. The 4wd road is closed about 0.25 mi from the cache, so expect to walk a little bit. Made a quick find and enjoyed the sounds of the stream and breeze blowing through the trees. Cheers!

Last time we were up here I wondered how we drive to get to this area. Through hail and a big snow storm we made it. Looks like great camping too. Thanks for locating the cache a ways down the trail to get people moving. :-) The squirrels were perched eating on top of the camouflage. Took Cars Lizzie. Left a golf ball and lanyard. Great stream nearby. TFTC

It's always nice to find an ammo can! LOTS of campers (some in very big rigs) on the drive back to the trail head. I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and walked another mile or so along the beautiful stream.
