!! Exciting New Cache Series!!

“COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST”

The Colorado Spirit Quest is a series of Caches placed by many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.

There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural and mountain communities across Colorado.  This series will introduce you to many of them.

The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries and tombstones.

COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST is not affiliated with any other ‘Spirit Quest’ group.  Special thanks and credit are given to SixDogTeam who started the Indiana Spirit Quest in 2004. The idea has rapidly spread into many states.

The CSQ endeavor is an enormous and relentless task.  It cannot be accomplished by just one or two people.  This project will only flourish if there is a multitude of volunteer cachers  willing to place these caches.

After locating the cache container, take some time to reflect back on the lives of those pioneers and the effort it took to make Colorado such a great state.

If you are interested in joining the “Walking Through History Clan” contact may be made by sending an e-mail to the owner of “Colorado Spirit Quest #1 – Mountain Passage”.  Use the ‘Send Message” link at the center of the page of their profile.

Each person that places a CSQ cache is responsible for its maintenance.

REMEMBER:

If you are APPREHENSIVE about cemeteries – AVOID this series.

Day 3 of caching road trip to Colorado with KCCG and M4ISU. Spending the day chasing old caches and a trip to Mt. Evans. Today is day 2633 of my daily streak. Thank you for placing this cache.

Thanks for the quick PNG. Love cemetery hides.

Kicking off the summer with a great American road trip to celebrate M4ISU’s belated birthday!  After months of planning, I am finally on the road with Stephenjha as my copilot.  I am logging as we go which makes it easier to keep track of the HUGE playlist we are hoping to accomplish.  If all goes well, I’ll drive 2500+ miles, add 50+ new counties, see 5 different states, find some cool cemeteries, increase my Fizzy and Jasmer progress, find 20+ virtuals, a handful of Earthcaches, a Wherigo, and maybe a webcam or 2!  It’s going to be a crazy weekend!

TFTC. SL. Thanks for placing this hide for my enjoyment, I really appreciate your effort! CACHE ON!!!

On the last leg up to Mt. Evans. Had a hard time with this one, and kaput360 & lullabye4u were giving up and walking back to the car when i hollered "Got it!" I think the prickly pine needles scared us off more than anything... nice place, love cemetery caches. Tftc!

This was our first stop on our trip. Once upon a time I was working on a challenge where you needed to find 150 caches with the word cemetery, and now I just can't go by a cemetery without stopping. LOL this took me a little longer than it should have, the natural camo works very well. Everything is in good shape here. Find #2652.

My mom said she'd like to go to Mount Evans, she doesn't ask for much so I had her pick a date and today was the day. We started off slightly later than planned, but not really a big deal. Mom said she's seen mountain goats every time on Mount Evans, and this time didn't disappoint. We saw them on the way up, while we were at the top, and on the way down. Found all the caches I looked for, which always makes for a good day. Thank you to all the COs for my high altitude finds!
