Took a crack. Ending up at a horse/rodeo arena. Didn't find anything. Working puzzle and reading logs again. Maybe I missed something

No luck here, the misfits last one for the evening. We gave it a shot but the cords took us to a homeless shelter.

Argh! First DNF in Colorado! I had solved this a week or two before my trip and was looking forward to looking for the hide. This was our last day before flying home, and Colorado Springs was our destination. I had a few special caches in line for today so I couldn't wait to get started!
The coords I came up with looked good on Google Maps but I guess they could be wrong. In any event my girlfriend and I headed for GZ, but after passing by a few homeless muggles very close by and spotting a temporary shelter right where the container was supposed to be I was only able to comfortably give a minute or two to the hunt before we decided to retreat to the car. Just didn't want to jeopardize the hide if, in fact, it's still there.
Thanks for the fun puzzle! Hopefully I'll get another crack at this one the next time I'm here!

Day 5 of our annual geocaching adventure with Rich & Lola and Cachestacker, adding Houston Control and Zeppo! to the crew this year. We concentrated on virtuals, challenges and other interesting finds on our way to Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak. After surviving a trip up to the peak we grabbed a few more caches in easier breathing areas!
We had a blast visiting Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska and enjoyed great weather the entire time. Many great sights were seen and a variety of wildlife too. We visited the high point in Nebraska, Pikes Peak and the beautiful Pawnee National Grasslands and saw a snake, hawks, pronghorn, antelope, turtle and rabbits along the way. We found a good mix of virtuals, Wherigoes, mystery puzzles and challenges as well as letter boxes and traditionals.
Signed or stamped the logs with initials or our Texas UFO Crew stamp and did some maintenance or log replacement as needed. The trip was even better experienced with good friends. We took a little time to stop and smell the roses, snap a bunch of pics and celebrate our caching days with some great Colorado beers. Many thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining these caches.
Thanks, KC0HEV!

Annual Geo-Trip with Kirbydox, Rich & Lola, HoustonControl, and Zeppo! We hit parts of CO, WY, and NE. Picked up the CO State Star, and some of us got new states and the NE Highpoint as well. We saw hawks, a snake, antelope, turtle, rabbits, and some other animals that were not exactly wild (cows, bison, horses, llamas). I picked up about 925 caches plus some other challenges I don't know if I qualify for yet, so the number could go up. Significantly increased my counts of letterboxes, virtuals, and Wherigos. We also hit some good brew pubs and increased our beer find count on Untappd. A fun trip with great company.
Day 5: Wow. Today we focused on grabbing virtuals on the way down to Colorado Springs to get 10 in a day, a trip up Pike's Peak, and a bunch of Challenges along 24. Mission accoumplished and a fun day.
After our trip up the mountain we were finally getting some oxygen that the lower altitudes provide. We thought we could actually find this one. And we did!
Thanks, KC0HEV, for placing this puzzle for us to find today. (I had never done one like this before -- pretty cool, actually). Find number 12022 overall. All cache logs stamped with Texas UFO Crew stamp or stamps with our initials.
