A few years ago we placed a cache nearby that recognized one of several osprey nests in the Fort Collins area.  Highway improvement plans required that the pole for the nesting box be removed.  Another pole was erected in the vicinity to replace the active nest.  Alas, the new pole was undiscovered for years.  Move forward to 2022 and voila an industrious osprey couple found the replacement site and has populated it.  Happy days.  Enjoy looking for the newly settled nesting site to the north of this cache.  Bring binoculars if you like for a better view.

It took us a while to spot the ospreys, but once we widened our horizons there they were. As for the cache—piece of cake, got that too. Thanks for it!

It's not really near the nest to the north, but we were able to park near the cache. The local cows came over to say hello across the fence, too. TFTC!
