This cache is replaceing GC8T0RX. The previous location was to close to a fox den and the nearby neighbors requested it be moved. Since I couldn't replace it within the 528 feet of the original I had to archive it. Now you have a chance for another FTF. I am leaving the original log book with the previous finders just for a historical refernce.
I am John Driscol K-I-C-K news reporter, coming to you live outside the United States Space Command. Earlier this morning, a first for the state of Colorado, as a rocket carrying a telecommunications satellite was launched from the Colorado Space Complex just south of Fountain. We have received word the rocket has reached its projected orbit and we are waiting for the first communications from the commander of the rocket, Maj. Steven Tom.
Maj Tom: Ground Control, this is Maj Tom with a communications check, how do you read me?
Ground Control: This is Ground Control Maj. Tom, we read you loud and clear. All systems are looking nominal and you are looking good for satellite deployment later today. Over.
Maj. Tom: Ground Control, there is one slight problem up here. Over
Ground Control: Maj. Tom, Repeat last transmission, is there a problem? Over.
Maj. Tom: Ground Control I think I left my lunch box on earth, over.
Ground Control: Copy Maj. Tom, you have extra rations in the rocket, over.
Maj Tom: The Mission Log was in the lunch box, over.
Ground Control: Oh no.
This is John Driscol again, the Mission log is the most important thing that an astronaut has with him. It is the only formal record of everything that happens on a space flight. Without this, this flight might just never exist in history. We need all people out there to help us find this lunch box and document in the mission log the when you found it. Once we get Maj. Tom back from space, he will be able to see how many folks were looking for his lunchbox and the famed mission log. Reporting live from Colorado Springs, John Driscol from K-I-C-K news.
Please be careful opening the cache as it has swag in there for the kiddos.
So I am creating a trail of caches inspired for two different reasons. The first is the satellite series all over El Paso County thanks to WitzAbout. The second is how hard it is to find caches beginning with a number for the AlphaNumeric challenge. So in honor of that I am creating the countdown series that will result in a rocket launch to get another satellite into orbit for WitzAbout.
If you needed one of these caches for your challenge, please let me know in your comment.
