UPDATE: SEPT. 17, 2015: I replaced the wet log today. Please roll up the log carefully and place it into the top and then screw the bottom back on. This should keep it from getting wet in the future. Thanks!

I drove by this spot recently and thought it needed a cache. There is easy parking on Ohio Street. Be sure and read the interesting sign on the property. Be prepared to wade through waist high grass if the area has not been mowed recently.

This is my 25th hide.

Here is some additional information on this location courtesy of d.digger:
I knew the people who lived here last; Harold and Jinny Budd. They were good friends and cared for me after I spent a week in the hospital recovering from a burst appendix, I'll never forget them. They put a lot of work into the place, converting the garage into another bedroom and built a big shop/garage in back. All the while raising her two granddaughters. I knew they had moved out east but I was shocked the first time I drove by and saw an empty lot. They've both passed away, but I know Ginny would be pleased to see all the prairie wildflowers and grasses here (please Canon City, don't mow them down).

Today was a great day in the Canon City Royal Gorge area. The morning started with a raft trip thru the gorge and included a dunk in the river - now a member of the Arkansas River Swim Team!! After lunch we went geocaching and had a great time finding a number of caches around town. We had 5 smilies and no DNFs!! Yay. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches. What an interesting story for this lot. I was tempted to pick some pears, they are just getting ripe. TFTC

I was in the area and stopped and checked on this cache today. It is right where it is supposed to be and the log is dry. The neighbor to the south (behind the wooden fence) was driving by on Ohio Street and stopped to ask me if she could help me. I told her I was geocaching but I'm sure she had no clue what I meant.
