I do think that my granddaughter only wants to do wherigos now. This is our second one in as many days and we will try more before we head back to Georgia. I found the container at GZ fairly quickly which is rare since she has a keen eye for a five year old. Dropping a fav point for a well done wherigo and for adding to our smiles of the day.

Found this one with Team Greenwoodturner today. We had some time before Team GWT had to head to the airport, so we decided to do some caching in the area and this was one of our targeted stops. I really enjoyed working our way through these cartridges. Worthy of a Favorite Point from me. I wasn't sure that we'd find this one, but after looking around, we decided that there was really one likely spot. So, we dug a bit and dug a bit more and dug a bit more and came up with the container. We stamped or signed the log as Team GZ. Thanks for the fun!

Day 25 of another epic adventure with our good friend ZSteve! This was the last day of the trip, so our goal was simply to grab some caches while on our way to the airport. Wow! I've done a lot of Wherigo cartridges, but this may be the most complex and involved one I've ever done! Thankfully, we managed to puzzle our way though it! At GZ, we had a hard time finding the final, but eventually spotted it after doing some digging .. it was pretty buried! Giving it a favorite point! Log was stamped "Team GZ". Now onto the next Wherigo!

Friday night cache flight! After work I headed north to complete a Whereigo and grab as many caches as possible. I didn't grab as many as I hoped, but ended up with 19 for the day. I replaced a few caches that were missing or damaged. During my adventure I walked through prairie dog fields, saw a hawk, horse and cow, scared a mouse that then scared me, and pet a French bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. Unfortunate fuel provided by McDonalds. Music by Blue October. Pretty successful night.
The purpose for coming up here was to finish this cache. I spend an hour and a half traveling point to point on Wednesday, but wasn't sure how far I made it. Today was another hour and 10 minutes before I made it to the final. Once at the final, the hint was helpful, but the cache wasn't there. I kept searching. the URP area is pretty large. At one point, I was scraping around and startled a mouse out of it's hiding spot. When it ran out, it scared me. Karma. I eventually found the container about 10 feet from where I believe it was intended to be. Stamped my name on the log and placed the cache at what felt like the obvious spot.
This whereigo is well thought out and runs well. I walk quickly and it took me 2 hours and 40 minutes to finish. I just wish that the terrain honestly reflected the effort required to complete this cache. TFTC!

After an hour of walking I believe that I have exceeded the 1.5 T rating. Have to stop to go to an event.

I came down from Wellington this morning with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo expecting to get three wherigos that have been on my priority list for some time. I found two of these three. I went through the many zones for this one and felt great when I scored on the final and signed the cache log. Of course in the process I got the password for Selentic Age, but ran into problems there when I could not get the cartridge working properly. I will need to work this out and return!
When I looked at the cache log, I discovered that the last two cachers to have actually signed the log were ecanderson and cobiker, on 6-7-17. Sparky might wish to recheck this to see if the two more recent Found it logs that year are actually legitimate.

I was on my own before dawn to grab as many caches as I could before spending all day driving the family part-way home.
With the 25th anniversary of the Myst series, I recently replayed the entire first game and showed it to a couple of my kids. I really wanted to finish both Myst and Selenitic Age while the game was all fresh in my memory too, but I just ran out of time. I was encouraged at how close the first several zones were to each other, but then the walking got longer and farther, and I had to get back to my hotel before sun-up.
I've been planning a cache of my own for the 25th anniversary, but now that I've played part of this one, I might take inspiration from how it was set up. Thanks for the fun, and I sincerely hope I'm back to play these wherigos in the future, despite the distance from home.

Read this if you are doing the Myst Wherigo.
1. Do NOT bring your kids
2. Bring a bike
3. Allow a minimum of 3 hours to do this.
4. Bring paper and pen to take NOTES!
Irid3sc3nt and I traveled up here to do this Wherigo and a few more. After over 2 1/2 hours, we left. We walked just under 3 miles, the smells were gross, the amount of goose (OK, nature) poo and dog poo around was a lot, walking into an actice construction site, walking to the edge of the river on unstable rocks to trigger the next point was not cool, the amount of trash around is ... so much, and walking along the road with all the fumes from the trucks going by was not fun.
We will come back at another time to finish this LONG wherigo.

Finished the first two and a half hours, will have to return at a later date. Didn't want to get stuck in traffic.

I can't believe it....I'm laying around the house this morning in my jammies and PayMeCache texts fearthefish and I that he has a geo-itch, and who is in??? After I confirmed he didn't just call me an itch I rush to get ready. His plan today is to grab some tough ones on the D/T Matrix. Since my 81 Grid is painfully light in the SE corner I was thrilled to be out there with a seasoned geo-slueth like PayMeCache. Sadly for the second day in a row my favorite geo-genius fearthefish was unable to join us, and while we had a fun and successful day, it just wasn't the same without him.
Oh man, I LOVED MYST!! We were headed to a different cache nearby and PayMeCache said we had to stop and do this one. TFTC

My goal was to get Myst, Selenic Age and A Kingdom to Save in the same trip. What can I say about this one? Take good notes, save game often, go back and forth, plan for it to take about 3 hours then add a little more time, and guess alot. This was the longest and most steps of the three.

That is a lot of steps for a WherIGo. TFTC

Have been sitting on this one for eons (solved 3/2016). Must be one of the longest Wherigo caches ever created!
Finally got to the final today. Log was soggy, so added new log in ZipLoc along side the old one. No longer a UPR there, just an R, sorta.

In Denver for the week, this was our last evening here and I'd been eyeing a couple nearby wherigo caches that I wanted to grab before we headed for home. My wife let me get out and grab them both this evening!
Hard to pass up this cache type, I love wherigos!

After visiting with some clients I pulled up the map and looked for some non traditional caches in the area. I have been trying to find as many whereigos as I can. These beauties are rare so I decided to block out a little time and complete as many in the area as I could.
Glad I did block out some time because this beast took a long time to play. I got hung up early a couple times and had to painfully go back and forth at a couple stages. Once I got the hang of things it went a little smoother. All in all I ended up walking over two miles. This was a fun whereigo. Thanks for the journey, exercise and fun. Received my confirmation code and headed to ground zero. Really hoped for a bigger log at the final. Log was wet so I took a picture for proof that I found it.
Found Myst on March 13, 2017 using Cachly for iOS.
Thank you, Sparky for placing a fun cache for all of us to enjoy. I look forward to finding more of your caches.

Headed back to Minnesota with doublemoose and bflentje today. Grabbed one in Colorado before spending the rest of New Year's Eve in North Platte and Kearney, NE.
This one was close to where we had breakfast so we decided to stop and go for it. Looked for the final in the wrong spots before doublemoose found it in a much easier location. It's been a long while since I thought about Myst. Thanks for bringing back those fun memories! TFTC

Find #11,999. Today is the second back towards home an epic seven trip to ABQ and back with two fine friends doublemoose and purplesquirrel1. We were on our way to Nebraska but stopped in for one last Wherigo find. So many hide options here.. we were kind of disappointed with the actual hide we found. But we still love the Wherigo adventure. TFTC.
