This park started the geocaching journey for our family… twice! We found our first geocache at this park back in 2012, but only found a small number of caches in the following years. However, some time later our oldest son found a different cache at this same park! His first find sparked a renewed interest in this great game that continues to grow. With both the original finds now gone, it seems appropriate that we place a new cache in the park that started our geocaching journey.

Spotted this one as new earlier in the day, but by the time we could get back north, Seek da Cache had already been here in their big sweep for the day. Surprisingly, we realized we were following them while we were down in the Lafayette area, so we all pulled over for a chat. Looking forward to seeing everyone again once we can get the ball rolling on some events.

We headed out on a mini caching adventure to clean up some caches, but not before we stopped and did some maintenance on one of our caches . We started in Commerce City and worked our way up through Brighton, Firestone, Longmmont and back down to Westminster. While we were out and about a couple of new caches were published that happen to be in the direction we were heading. We were really surprised to find an empty log seeing that it had set out here for quite awhile. Very nice hide, SL,TFTC
