This new series is to bring back the Lost Art of Benchmarking.

I finally found a great use for Micro caches. This series will be placed around already discovered benchmarks for you to discover (and log) as well.

This way, you can not only log a micro-cache but a benchmark as well. Its a two-for-one deal!!

Access cover is not attached, so please replace.
Beware of barbed wire.

Easy parking just due south of cache on golf course maintenace road.

This cache is at Benchmark KK1501.

Don't forget to log the Benchmark here! http://www.geocaching.com/mark/details.aspx?PID=kk1501

I parked at the golf course pro shop and took a nice flat walk to the cache. As I'm traveling down the trail, I notice I'm traveling right beside a golf driving range, and that huge net has some rather large holes in it. There were several people out shooting balls, so I was a bit nervous I would be hit by a stray golf ball. So I walked a little faster, and made a b-line to the cache. It was easy to find this one that looks like a dube tube, but it's not - a preform maybe? Anyway, I made it back to my car without any accidents.
Thanks for another smiley!

I've had my eye on this for a while and have just never had the chance to get over here. But, today turned out to be the perfect day for it. My son was playing laser tag with some friends down the street so I went caching!

Thanks to Scaber for the replacement - it's still doing great here! Everything is exactly as described. Surprised this isn't found more often. But, it's not a Park and Grab so maybe not too surprising.

Thanks for the hide OrionStarr*

Area is under construction and cache was missing. The witness post is a couple of feet behind the construction runoff barrier. I replaced a new cache about 5 feet away on a metal post. It should be safe for now. Thank you for placing this cache and helping to keep our recreation going.
