This cache is hidden in honor of two SoCal geocachers, Lostpup4 and TropicalJoe. While I never actually got to meet lostpup4, I do consider him a geocaching friend. He has provided my good friend “w01f” and me with quite a bunch of crazy, predawn, geohikes in the beautiful hills and cool canyons of Towsley Canyon. Thanks for all the fun “Pup”!!!

TropicalJoe on the other hand, I met in Towsley one morning while searching out some of lostpup4’s new hides. We hiked on together, grabbed a few caches, and have since become good friends. Before meeting TJ, I was either out in the Palisades, searching for one of his new “Poi Pounders” or, getting beat out by him while trying to be FTF on someone else’s new SMM hide! Good times! I miss you my friend!

I wish you guys could make it out here for this one! This cache is hidden in one of my many new hiking spots. Not a bunch of caches around, but the hiking and the views are pretty darn good! Take the left trail as you head out from the trailhead. Further up the trail, you will come to another fork, stay left on the "Mushroom Rock" trail. Hike up until you are about 50' from GZ, leave the trail and head out over the first small rim of rocks. No need to go to the edge of the cliffs!!! Look for the single cedar tree and you will be close to the cache. PLEASE RE-HIDE the cache well. This trail gets pretty heavy use. Be stealthy!!!!
