Today I had an extraordinary idea. After work I headed up north to grab as many caches as possible. My goal was 50 and I ended up with 80. Pretty good, but it took all evening. I didn't return home until 11:55 pm and worked the next day at 7:00 am. Oh well, life of a geocacher. During my travels I saw a few hawks or eagles (too far away for me to identify), prairie dogs, many song birds, two pronghorns, a raccoon, and a special treat. I'm pretty sure I saw a badger. It had a similar shape to a raccoon, but looked like a blonde skunk. It had a white stripe between it's eyes instead of a black stripe like a raccoon. I also saw my first of the season rattlesnake. It was crossing the road. It wasn't bothered by me and I didn't bother it. The day began northeast of Barr Lake and ended up all the way down in Deer Trail. My FJ is racking up a lot of miles in the name of geocaching.
I dropped replacements when the cache was obviously missing, replaced some broken containers, and replaced full, wet, or moldy logs until I ran out of supplies. I stamped my name where there was room on the log, not always at the end.
Log was a little damp. TFTC!

Working on a challenge to find 50 small cash is in a row and here we go. It is a cold and misty day

I decided to do another run at some eastern plains caching today and managed to find 71. It was a beautiful, quiet and dusty, day for caching. I made the find here at 8:47 am. Thanks for the cache!

As I approached the location of this cache I spooked a doe. I actaully got within 3 feet of it before it feaeked out and jumped away at a frantic pace. I was rather spooked myself. Then I found the cache where the hint said it wasn't.

In this series you'll find quite a few black 2ml screw top centrifuge tubes, film canisters, a few soda bottle perform tubes and small lock lid containers.

Please be careful with the 2 ml tubes. The caps are easy to drop and lose in the grass! The caps come off with only ľ turn so keep your grip and don't drop the caps.
