This is a log only cache and it is placed at the Monument Rocks formation in the Little Book Cliffs Wild Horse Area.  The rock formation appears to be a sedimentary formation that has persisted despite all of erosion around it.  There are some interesting holes and large rocks that were trapped in the formation and now are protruding from the rock formation.

This is a minimum of a 60-mile round trip drive out of De Beque.  Access is from the Winter Flats or the Corcoran Wash and Dry Fork of Roan Creek.  Route is accessible when road is dry and with high clearance vehicles.  Take plenty of water and pack a lunch for this one. BYOP.

Starting to warm up. Glad I left early this morning. It has been a interesting morning. Took the wrong trail to walk from RZR and came to canyon between me and the Rock. So returned to RZR. Looked at GPS again and saw the road goes right to it. Found the cache right away, nice hidy hole. Went to sign log and pin stopped working. Got a few branches from burnt cedar tree and signed log. First time in this country and won't be the last.
