This cache is located on the Rich Creek Trail. Parking is located at 3904.078/10606.958. Take the Weston Pass road 10 miles from Highway 285 to the trail head. Weston Pass Road is marked by a sign on highway 285 about 5 miles West of Fairplay. It is a dirt road but is suitable for passenger cars.
This cache was placed on Mr. Z's 50th Birthday. It is a fairly large plastic container. The cache is about a .4 miles from the trailhead and is mostly level and easy except for one short stretch near the end We did a loop that was about 12 miles which we turned into 16.5 miles by taking a slight detour on a spur trail near the end. Not bad for a new old man. If you continue on the trail another 2.5 miles it will bring you to high meadow at an elevation of 11,200.A nice place to have a picnic lunch The cache is at about 10150 feet. The loop we took follows Rough and Tumbling Creek down hence the name. Enjoy!

First visitor of 2019! Cache is in great shape - and it was an adventure to overcome the snow, ice, and high water crossing to reach ground zero. TFTC!!

We are returning to Michigan after a cross country trip to California and stopped for a short visit with dear friend, MtnC0913.
She wanted to give this one a look see and off we went.
The first part of the trail was pretty easily navigated.
Then we figured we must be on the wrong side of the water as the trail took a big leap in difficulty.
We did not see any way to cross the water as indicated by previous geocachers.
We gave up and headed back home. Maybe MtnC0913 will give this one another try one day.
