This is a nice trail for a stroll, especially at sunset. Please take in the beauty. The two peaks that you see on your way to the hide are the Spanish Peaks. The west peak is the twelfth most prominent peak in Colorado based off of the USGS data. The Spanish Peaks were some of the first peaks that the settlers saw when they came to the west.

Loved finding the fossil! It was damp. Left 2 caches for someone to enjoy. TFTC!

It was a great afternoon for taking a little hike along the trail. We quickly spotted the landmark fossil and began our search. There certainly are plenty of neat spots to hide a cache here. And there is one really good spot, but alas, no cache to be found there. It's such the perfect spot, I think we looked 3 times just to be sure. But that wasn't it after all.

Eventually though, there it was. Fine as a feather. Thanks for the cache and the great hints!
