Welcome to Limon, my home town.
Limon is known as the "Hub City" of Eastern Colorado as Interstate 70, U.S. Routes 24, 40, and 287, Colorado Highways 71 and 86, all cross paths here. Its location on the transportation system has resulted in its becoming a major gateway to Denver, Colorado Springs, Colorado's Mountains and the Pikes Peak Region. Its many hotels, restaurants and gift shops create an opportunity for travelers to take a break before reaching the metro areas along Colorado's Front Range.

Limon has its roots in the railroad. In 1888, Limon got its start as a work camp for the new Chicago and Rock Island rail line, destined to run from Kansas to Colorado Springs. Limon was named after one of the railroad's original construction foreman.



The cache is located in a parking lot at the back of a building. Permission has been obtained from the owner but please don't mess with anything.

Congrats to Condor1, The Real Thing, and MillerDude for shared FTF on June 17th. And thumbs up for making the trip to Mingo, I just did it a week ago (June 2009) from San Diego.

T F T C - - - - I’m having a great time in Colorado Geocaching and sight seeing. Staying with a good friend in Centennial. I decide to hit the flat lands for my July 4th adventure. I got a early start to avoid some of the heat.

I appreciate your efforts in placing this cache for our geocaching enjoyment. It is always a great day to be out and about geocaching. Good job! I had a fun time finding it. Once again, TFT$ LTFAHG-Like to Find and Hide Geocaches.
