The first cache ever in downtown Creede. Terrain: City streets. Difficulty: Easy. Altitude: 8,852 feet
Container is a rubbermaid with white lid. Contains fun stuff for the whole family (dogs included)—tennis ball, a book, pens, stickers, guitar picks, tokens, amethyst found only in Creede, and, of course, a log book. We're a stop off on the Colorado trail, this cache is great for trackable items to be dropped off while hiking through town. Enjoy!

Had some time to waste while one of my hiking partners was taking advantage of cell phone service in the area. We spent the day fishing but didn’t have much luck. I caught one but had two others I got to shore when they flipped off the line. We tried to find somewhere in town to eat and had the best luck at the miners cafe and the service was friendly. We had their breakfast sandwiches and pies which were delicious. Kips had pretty good food, service was okay. We went into a bbq place and after we asked if we seat ourselves since they just looked at us when we walked in they gave us a snotty comment. Sat down for over five minutes and no one came to the table to greet us we left. The food in Arps looked delicious but they were packed. Nice little town to visit.
