How exciting to try something new!!

This cache is part of an experiment that allows the use of Augmented Reality (AR) apps to find the cache. At the end of this experiment, Geocaching HQ will decide if this cache will be grandfathered or archived. Geocaching HQ reserves the right to archive this cache at any time if conditions change. If you have found this cache and would like to give feedback on your experience, please fill out this survey.

To get started you will need to download the Metaverse app on your smart phone.
App linked here: on iOS or Android.

With the app installed, go to the posted coordinates. Open the app and the Experience should show on top under "Now", if not, search Through the Looking Glass or search for @RPieperCO and open the titled experience. You will chase after the bunny with a clear set of "maps". There are some fun items along the way. A couple tips... Stop before hitting the next button. If you still have issues with "finding" the AR, there should be an option to turn AR off and then it will play out on your phone as opposed to being projected somewhere around you. This may be helpful if data is weak or if the AR is just too hard to find or read.

Load Experience HERE if you are unable to find it otherwise.

Hope you all enjoy this experience!  I hope this is a real and lasting new cache type like Wherigo's!!  It's fun building and a neat experience!

Follow the trail, all is revealed. I recommend stopping each time you press continue, otherwise the AR is behind you! You can zoom in and out of the AR images too to see better. If it's not performing well, turn AR off. Remember to take the survey!

This app didn't work at home for me to play the video clear through using my wifi & video didn't play to the end using my data plan when I was near the cache. I have a new Samsung ph. I was able to sign log today on my 4th attempt because I talked to another cacher who had signed the log. Metaverse app was dysfunctional at GeoWoodstock in TX too but TX Geo Assoc had volunteers on hand to assist in different ways.

Well, not sure it worked how it was supposed to work! I got started but moved past the first stage and the next stage didn't come up for me. I had to go back and stand at the stop sign and click through all of the stages. Not sure if that was intended or what. I hope not. But I was able to take notes during the stages and was able to find the Rabbit Hole and eventually the cache with ease. Neat idea - hopefully GCHQ tweaks it a little to make it a more 'as you go' puzzle (or better directions so dummies like me don't do it wrong). TFTC - fav point!

That was a ton of fun. I used it with the AR and it worked almost perfectly for me. I was getting frustrated thinking I had to restart the story every time I got to the next step, but I realized I could just tap the screen and the next portion would move forward with me. This is a really neat tool for some cool caches. Loved the final too! Definitely a favorite.

Wow. I really hope AR makes it. This was another awesome Pieper adventure. Found with CouCou58 with a ton of help from gamma & gampa. We had given up and had hiked back to the park when we ran into them. Fortunately, they had read the previous logs and were prepared. Hiked back to GZ and voila!

Screen shots, charged battery, etc. definetly a must. Both my Samsung and CouCou’s iPhone were DOA.

We tried one of RPieperCO’s AR caches in Black Forest Section 16 a few days ago and enjoyed it, so when we noticed that he had placed another AR cache in Austin Bluffs Open Space, we had to give it a try. We read previous logs and decided to run the app at home and take some screenshots on our iPad to help us follow the trail to the cache. When we arrived at the trailhead, we happened upon coucou58 and Hammerhead53, who were also going after this cache today. What a nice couple, and good cachers too! We worked together, made the find, and signed the log. As usual, the CO added a touch of class and creativity to the final. Thanks for a great cache for us to find on day #1001 of our streak. This one earns a fave point from us!

I DNFd this a few weeks ago because the game locked up several times. I was able to play it at home and get enough info to get to the final. I love the creative story and the container is perfect for the cache. TFTC

Finally made my way over to the start of this one today. I have AT&T, and had enough signal to get the cartridge (?) going. All went smoothly until I was about to catch the rabbit, then it locked up. Fortunately, from good advice from Kerewin, I had done the cartridge at home prior to leaving and had screenshotted everything, so I was able to continue. A short time later, I had the cache in hand! Very fun style of caching. The only "complaints" I have are of course the cartridge locking up (can't be helped), and that the images I needed to follow were always to the right of where I needed to look down the trail. So I had to turn right to look at the pic, then turn back left to continue going. Not a big deal, but it would've been nice to just look straight ahead the whole time. :) Probably my phone's fault...it's a cheap one. All in all, very fun, except for the mosquitoes biting me! LOL Took the TB, and gave it a fav. TFTC

WOW!!! THIS! WAS! AMAZING!!!! I loved it!!! My dad, Paurian, and I went out this morning to geocache. Little did I know that this would be one of the best caches ever.
However, there were a few mishaps along the way. Even though the idea was AMAZING the app wouldn’t work properly (We accidentally ended up in someone’s back yard ). Eventually we got it to work but we had to stay in one place.
WARNING: COME PREPARED!!! Make sure you have a portable charger. My dad’s phone nearly died out there while we were trying to solve it.
This was one of the best times I’ve ever had with my dad!

TFTC!
