Located off of Highway 120. Terrain is very steep, so watch your footing. This climb is not good for small children or those with balance issues. After the easy find, finish the climb to the top with a neat view of the surrounding area.
Cache is a pull apart geocache. No need to remove the whole cache. Just the bottom half. After logging, put together and hold for a few seconds to keep the water-tight cache from separating.

I came to GZ heading west, so was at least on the 'right' side of the road to go after it. One full tour all the way up, over & down - with a pause to add my ink BigSmile

Parked at the end of the GR and climbed up the west side of GZ. Looked around for a minute and then spied a target that proved to be fruitful, just as the rain started to fall. All is well here. TFTC SL This completes my 23rd D/T loop.

Fifth of five caches I found after spending the night in Canon City. Always love the high terrain caches. Signed the log, enjoyed the view and headed northeast towards home.

We were spending a few days in Colorado Springs, so I decided to get out and do a little caching while we were here. This cache was on my radar because I need it to fill in a DT matrix cell, so this was my first stop for the day. I surveyed the area and chose a path up that was hopefully the easiest. Luckily, once I got the GZ, I was able to spot the cache right away. There was a nice view from the top, so I picked a spot to sit down and enjoy it (read: rest) for a little bit before making my way back down. TFTC.
