A decon container in a more or less winter friendly location in a grove of 6 pines.
This cache is located along road 125, a closed Forest Service road. From what the sign near the gate says, this road has been closed to vehicular traffic because of repeated problems with illegal off road use, prohibited target practice use, and trash problems. I saw none of the above, but I am sure that they must have existed.

The walk to the cache from the gate on a very flat trail is approximately 0.15 miles, The final 200 feet is off the trail.

Nice little off highway cache.

Even on the last day of November, this was a beautiful short walk, sadly with no snow whatsoever, unusual for this elevation at this time. The cache is nicely placed as described, but also with surroundings of young aspen. Colorado caching as it should be! TFTC

Found it - #2413 - on road trip to western states from Illinois to destinations unknown - this is the 98th cache found - ram562001 and I are camping near Jefferson lake and grabbing a few caches while out enjoying the fall colors - geodog Carly liked the hike to GZ but this flatlander was searching for oxygen as well as the cache - all in good shape - tftc

We came up for a day hike before the long weekend, and explored the campground. We enjoyed the walk up this quiet road. All is well at the cache, gave a bag for the log & added swag. Thanks for placing this here!
