Ruedi Dam (elevation 7788') was completed in 1968 and is situated 14 miles east of Basalt on Fryingpan River Road. The rock and earthfill dam stands 285 feet above the Fryingpan River below and creates a reservoir with a total capacity of 102,369 acre-feet.
