This one was quite the hike! I initially ascended the wrong summit (tried to do that other cache first), thinking I could rock-hop over to the other side, but cliffed out. I had to descend probably halfway down to get over to the other peak. I practically climbed that mountain twice! Cache had a little rubbish in it, so I took that and left some trinkets. The benchmark couldn't have been more obvious; I'll add it to my puny benchmark collection.

That sure is a magnificent view! I'll post some pics when I get home tomorrow. Thanks for helping me fill a tough D/T hole.

Like several others, I completed my Fizzy chart with this one and it definitely earns its stars! Steep is an understatement, especially after attempting Spirit with no luck. Flipped through and signed the summit log, then sought out the BM and cache. The hike down was done in less than half the time to go up due to an easier and more direct route. Took the two TBs that have been here for 15 months. Thanks for a great one!

@3:27:00 PM Came to Eagle Rock for the D/T combo and it was pretty tough. After my DNF at Spirit of Eagle, I hiked to this cache from the wrong direction. Found the benchmark and the cache. The hike back to the car was a lot easier. TFTC

Found the BM about 3 years ago & decided it was time to come back for the cache before it snows me out this year. Find closest BM ..go 30 more feet? Hmmm... which way? Oh well it was a good day to be up there so just enjoyed the view & the hunt. Grabbed the TB & dropped my MEADES RANCH BM coin to start it's journey from here. Dropped myself "Benchmark Hunter" in for a short stay. Great spot! Thanks SL

Great cache, indeed! And a perfect opportunity to introduce a friend to some of the best of geocaching. Big day - counted over 110 elk below us, think (from the silouette - he was soaring very high above the rock) an eagle, had winds at and above 35mph, recorded the three survey disks, and grabbed a green jeep! Hard to improve on that. In addition to the jeep TB, took Gowyns TB to move along and dropped off a Pirahna TB. This one definitely gets a favorites point - Thanks!
