Permission was granted to place this cache here. Craig was officially made a city in 1908. The year 2008 marked the 100th Anniversary of this stable and progressive community. The visitor center is an excellent place to start your Craig adventure. The friendly people who work here are very knowledgeable of Craig and the surrounding area. Craig is the county seat of Moffat County. Moffat County is rich in diversity, outdoor activities and excellent scenic views. It is also the "Elk Hunting Capital of the World". The visitor center hosts a Sportsman Information Specialist who will be able to direct you to some excellent hunting and fishing locations as well as advise you on the rules and regulations regarding these fun pastimes. There is a large assortment of brochures and maps located here. The director wanted this cache available during non-business hours too so no contact is necessary with them. Although you really should stop in and say howdy to the staff. It's my guarantee that you'll walk away a much happier and knowledgeable person! This cache should be available year round.
Be sure to look for our multicaches in the Craig area. The coordinate cache and treasure cache are located very close to each other to make the finds as fast as possible.

Found it and left a couple trinkets I’ve had for a very long time. Sorry to those owners. Perhaps they will give joy to the next finder.

Biked here from Austin, Texas and are headed to Anchorage, Alaska as a part of a nonprofit organization called Texas 4000. We fundraise money for cancer research and support services and then cycle over 4500 miles to Alaska.

We decided to stop for a cache here and check out the views.

Looked at GZ for a while without success. Decided to check with the staff in the Welcome Center before we waded into the shrubbery. They responded by coming outside (all three) and helping look with us. Still no success. Resorted to the trekking pole stab, finally found clinking of metal and the container. Replaced log and returned container to place indicated by the Welcome Center ladies and GPS GZ. Thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the ladies. All's well. Thanks.

Enjoyed our stop. Then found more than a dozen wood sculptures in the park across the street beyond the train. Love it!
