A man was out walking in the woods one day and found a discarded lamp lying under a dead log. He picked it up and thought he saw something written on the side of it. He used his shirt sleeve to rub some of the dirt off of it, and as he did so, a black cloud poured out of the mouth of the lamp.

A dark figure appeared out of the cloud and gave a bone-chilling smile. It said, "Thank you, kind sir, for freeing me from my prison. In exchange for your kindness, I will grant you two wishes, for I am 31TOR, a powerful Jinn.

The man stared in shock at the nimbulous figure before him. He looked down at the lamp and noticed the words written on it, "Trust nothing this Jinn says. He is a trickster."

Looking up, he stumbled over his words, "Um, well, I, uh, didn't really mean to, that is, er, I mean to say....you're welcome? and...um...thank you?"

"What wishes may I grant you, fine sir?"

"Well, um, you see, could you give me a....can you really grant wishes?"

The dark clouds swirled angrily around the Jinn as he spoke omniously, "You dare doubt my power? I see you are a mere mortal with a weak spirit! Despite your weakness, you freed me from captivity, so I will give you a demonstration of what I am capable of before granting you your two wishes."

The Jinn snapped its fingers and the man found himself surrounded by mounds of gold and jewels. But it all disappeared with another snap of the Jinn's fingers. "Now, what wish would you have me grant first?"

Licking his lips, the man looked at the Jinn and said, "I wish for great treasure!" A slow smile spread across the Jinn's face as he slowly raised his hand and gave a quick snap.

The man looked around himself anxiously, but nothing appeared. He looked back at the Jinn, and angrily said, "You didn't grant my wish! Where's my treasure?!?"

"I did grant your wish, but unfortunately, you did not wish for it to appear here. Your treasure is elsewhere. However, you could wish to know the location of the treasure."

"You trickster! Fine! I wish to know where the treasure is!"

"Your wish is my command! The treasure is located at:

bjg kvf rab gavbc berm rivs rab lgebs gfnr qan arrgrava qreqahu gutvr gavbc ehbs rab bjg lgarjg ugeba bg bt rehfnreg rug grt bg.

And just to show you how benevolent I am, I will leave you with this." Another snap of its fingers left a GPSr at the man's feet. "Once again, I must thank you for freeing me from that prison!" and with that, the Jinn was swallowed up in the dark cloud and it was swept away by the wind.

The man bent down, picked up the GPSr, sat down on the log, and thought hard about what the Jinn had said.

Zulu113 was the first one to find the treasure. Will you be next?

Went out for a birthday hike on this beautiful afternoon...the second hike of the day! Now that I'm officially in my 30s (ouch, that looks harsh written out!), I have to make a concerted effort to stay in shape, huh? I'll happily do it one 0.1 mile sprint at a time! :-) Thanks for this cache! I lost my pen somewhere a few caches ago...so I took a picture of the log as proof of find. :-)
