Stars Across America Series

Colorado Star

Colorado Fun Fact:
Fountain has the distinction of being the United States' millennium city because it best symbolizes the overall composition of America. Fountain is the most accurate representation of the American "melting pot". Fountain was chosen after a Queens College sociologist crunched Census Bureau statistics in an effort to find the one city in the country that best represented the population make-up of the United States.

We planned a trip up to do these yesterday when the forecast was for cooler tempertures. On the way up we ran into dark cloud that started raining hard. Pulled over under a tree in Nunn and watched it come down. We got hailed on. We went back home because the weather looked the it was going to do this all day long.

We came up today it's a lot nice but a lot hotter. We had a good time. Some of us more than the other. I really thought i would be hauled out on a gurney. Thanks for placing this cool Star for us to find all the pieces. Only got half the star down but theres always tomorrow or shall we say in the Fall.

My son and I were heading down to DIA to pick up the rest of the family as they were returning from a school trip to Greece. Since we had the day to get to the airport we decided to take on the Colorado Star caches. We found the first half of the star before we had to head on down the road. We saw several pronghorn antelope as we made our finds. Tftc.

Took advantage of the cool, dry weather to find ones I hadn't found the other the other 2 times I was here. The containers all were in good shape and were placed so they were able to withstand the strong wind. No wind and no snow today. Thanks for maintaining this series!
