Picked this one up while in the local area. I've eyed this cache for years, so I was glad that today I finally had the chance to come after it. Given the cache description and my expectations, I was grateful to make the find on this one with no drama. I lady drove by as I was leaving the cache. She smiled and looked directly at the cache, so this must be pretty popular with the locals. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

The log in the cache is not well protected from the elements. If the next cacher could bring a new log and plastic bag, we can make this one last for another 10 years. Unfortunately, T.W.S.S. hasn't logged in for a few years, so he is unlikely to replace it.

Found this tricky hide! Just like others before us... we were about to leave, no cache. Then all of a sudden.... We looked up at the stars. Going to need an extra boost or a friend to help!

Today, after the CITO, I cached around the Larkspur/Palmer Lake/Monument area. There are several caches around that I haven't grabbed and this was the day to change that. During my journey I was enchanted by big blue skies and beautiful views of the mountains.

Devious indeed! I was confused by the prior cacher's posting. There are two standing trees here. But that comment also spun me in the wrong direction. I scanned the skies without luck. then as I was about to leave with a DNF, I spotted something strange nearby. Sure enough, it was the cache. But grabbing it was the true problem. Luckily, I always have an appropriate tool with me when I'm driving to caches like this one. TFTC!

Showed up at GZ and found a nice new stump with lots of sawdust. I think the cache went with the wood.

We were glad that this one was not on the ground again because we had too much fun looking for it, whaaaaat??????, finding it, and then seeing gampa be creative with retrieving it. Gamma stood and prayed there wouldn't be a trip to the ER after the replacement. Whew! SL All is good here ;O)
(Wish we needed this punctuation mark as well--ha!)
