One of a series of caches placed in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.
Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to 21 required merit badges, each Scout must complete a project of benefit to the community. This cache is part of a nationwide geocaching series called "Cache to Eagle" that showcases these special contributions.

The cache is located within the South Platte Park, which has been the beneficiary of Eagle projects. Hours are sunrise to sunset. Park in the lot at Carson Nature Center, then follow the hiking trail on the eastern side of the river to the south.

Cache location is 0.75 mi down the trail from the gate at the east end of the pedestrian bridge. Not far off the trail, since this side of the river is a wildlife area. Remember - Leave no trace!

Helpful - the third point of the Scout Law: A Scout is concerned about other people. He does things willingly for others without pay or reward.
