Medium sized geocache just off of the Hakan Spar trail on Howelsen Hill.  Its a short hike to get there from the trailhead (look at waypoints) Probably not winter friendly, you could definetly get there in the winter, but the geocache would be buried.

Nice pleasant walk until we got to GZ. We took the wrong path through very dense bush in the first attempt then came back and found the better trail. Still pretty thick and I got several nettle stings and was about to give up when I found yet another hole. Again about to give up when I saw it while crouching low on the way out of this hole. Very hard for a 1 difficulty in my opinion but a cool spot and a great hike. TFTC! Found with Bushmathster.

Found while visiting Steamboat for a long weekend so my artist husband could attend the Oil Painters of America National Show. I enjoyed a morning solo hike on this trail. It took me a while to find the cache - after crawling all over the rock, I was getting ready to head back to the trail when I noticed one more spot I hadn’t noticed - there was the cache! TFTC!
