Shell Creek
The cache is on the East side of the creek, the park spot the west..so...walk on the road across the creek then upstream. At the beaver dam, (broken) go up into the trees. The cabin and dam are both in view at the cache, stuffed under some deadfall. The terrain is rather flat, but many down trees, so watch your step. The cache is full on polished stones. Take some home, they are magic.

Note, a short bit upstream the land is private

On a whirlwind trip up to Washington state, getting just a few caches along the way. Out fro Fort Collins exploring the back country past Cache la Poudre river; beautiful areas. Never had seen a hillside marsh before; those rains are making everything very green... Tftc!

Found easily enough. This is a great area and I wish I could hunt it someday. I took a nice stone and left a green geocaching strap. I didn't figure out the right road to the next cache (near the tower) until I was back on the main road. Maybe one day I can get back up there to bag it. TFTC Ron!
