We arrived at the GZ and saw there isn't a place to hide a cache there. I searched the nearby lamp post without luck. The Mrs was smart and checked the hint. But that's where the less than pleasantness began. I too lost blood before finding the well hidden container. The lid is still there, but doesn't stay attached. A good rain might hurt the log.
Today we avoided the early day heat and waited for the brief showers to come out of our hidey hole - like desert flowers. We headed west and found a few caches before turning our needle north to find more. Pretty adventurous day. I saw a hawk, many birds, a few garter snakes, and tried wild berries.
