Don't let the name fool you, it's not on a ledge. This camping area has two campgrounds, Ledges Cottonwood and Ledges Rockhouse. There is a gate at the beginning of the road but it's to keep the cows out. Make sure to close it on the way through. It's not always closed though. There are the two campgrounds back there that are both BLM land. If you enjoy a scenic, peaceful location, this is it. This is likely not avalable during the winter. HWY 90 that goes from Nucla area over to Montrose does not have any winter maintenance. The cache is hidden on the Nucla side and the road is just as the pavement ends at the bridge. The turn off road can be a bit bumpy but should be passable by all vehicles. If it's wet it may not be as nice. There are some big holes and it's a narrow road. Worth the drive back though. Back to the cache, this one is jam packed full of goodies (my kids made sure of it). It is starting off with a FTF coin, three little dinos, three matchbox cars, a couple metal figurines, a pokemon card, a couple 3-D printed goodies, as well as a log and a pencil. This is a campground so make sure to tuck it back in nicely so that it isn't easy to see.
Congrats to HoundOfMontezuma for the FTF!
