Colorado Nature Nook #11

Colorado Animals

The American black bear (Ursus americanus), also known as the black bear, is a medium-sized bear species endemic to North America. Despite its name, it can exhibit various colors, including black, brown, blonde, and sometimes white. Standing upright, it reaches a height of 5-7 feet and can weigh anywhere between 100 to 600 pounds. This omnivorous bear inhabits forested areas but occasionally ventures into human communities in search of food.

Didn't see any bears out there today, just deer, joggers, and cyclists. I'd been on this trail a few weeks ago for two other caches in this series and knew there would be more coming. But it is such a nice hike/ride, I welcome the chance to keep coming back! TFTC!

{*FTF*} I got my monthly FTF!!! That is 101 consecutive months with at least one FTF. FTF #365
Last night I was planning on where I should head today to find some caches. I decided a bike ride was in order and I really wanted to finish the Greatest Cache in the World. So I made an offline list with all the caches along this bike trail. I was very surprised to see that one of the caches I had just solved yesterday morning was along this trail and still unfound when I left the house this afternoon. So when I got on my bike, I made a B-line straight to this cache. I was amazed that it was still unfound when I got there.
Everything else went as planned as well.

Thank you OUT14ND3R for placing and maintaining "Colorado Nature Nook #11" for me to find and log. Saturday June 8, 2024 2:59 PM
