One of a series of caches recognizing figures from Pueblo's early days.

Gervacio Nolan was a French Canadian who came to the area as a trapper and trader, became a Mexican citizen and received a large (800,000 acres) land grant in the San Carlos River valley across the Arkansas River from Pueblo. Although he, himself, lived there only briefly, his family did reside on and cultivate the land.

Late log, but found this one passing through Pueblo on my way to Manzanola. Beautiful area, but I was creeped out by some of the people that were hanging out, so I cut my visit short. Thanks for the cache. It was hidden in a good spot.
