This cache was placed with the kind permission of the CDOT district supervisor. This is located at a wonderful rest stop. Tall mature trees provide a welcoming shady place for a walk, picnic, or a nice nap in the vehicle. It is a landscaped, well maintained jewel with covered tables, toilets and local information. Local flowers are planted all around. There are numerous nearby caches to find too. Stop, relax, geocache!

Day 2 of our trip from Kansas City, MO to Antioch, CA to see the granddaughters. Today was from Burlington CO to Salt Lake City, UT, picking up counties we needed in Colorado and Utah. A good day of sunshine and just a little rain, and able to find almost every one we tried. Interesting scenery, snow still on the ground in some places, and some fun, quick caches.

Mrs. Trekkie was blindly following the gpsr while I made the grab. So then she spent a few minutes admiring the wildflowers.

That search took way too long. Love the last signer’s charcoal log. I’m headed west to Southern California after buying a pickup in Cheyenne. It’s a long story. Suffice it to say I’ve got some road trip caching to do. Counties and DeLorme pages mostly, and I’ll hit Wyoming, Colorado and Utah in this new Cachemobile! Dinosaur National Monument has always been a place I wanted to visit, and this trip may just get me there. TFTCaches along the way!
