For those campers who are tired of fishing and need a challenging Geocache fix. It is not on top of the ridge, just part way up.

"READ THE HINT and forget about the rest of the instructions

This is an excerise as to how to use your GPSr in another fashion. However, many newer GPS models are not capable of using features required to locate the cache. The older GPS units that track point to point and give distance should be able to handle this easily. It is NOT necessary to have a compass, tape measure or pedometer. You MUST enter the coordinates of each location, then proceed to the place where it tells you that the previous location is at X distance and Y bearing. 1 Mile = 5280 feet!

If you know how to use your GPSr, go to a point where the benchmark is eleven hundredths mile away bearing twenty-seven plus one hundred eighty degrees to locate the boulder. Use the Man-Overboard feature to establish a new position. Repeat the procedure using thirteen hundredths mile and three hundred thirty-two minus one hundred eighty degrees to locate the cache. West coordinate ends as zero oh zero!

Start out by finding the Benchmark at the above location.

From there, follow a bearing of 27 degrees true for a distance of about 580 feet to a large boulder.

At the boulder, follow another bearing of 332 degrees true for a distance of about 685 feet.

Finolay lost of piece of his yellow shirt on a nearby branch while placing the cache.

Thanks to Maserati#1 for the view of the Reservoir from the cache site.

I used the coordinates from ngrrfan, not the most recent ones as they have a transposed number. Took me right to the cache. Steep climb up but worth it. Yea!
Almost 3 years!

Which is north of posted co-ord
Take the Colorado Trail north to near the base of the hill. When the trail veers west (up the hill) start cross country east and circle around up the steep, cacuts infested and loose hill. Cache is right on the new co-ordinates.

Followed to coordinates in the log but a bit high up on that ridge for my taste.

After seeing some photos of the areas ghost towns on a local TV news stations website, I just had to come see this area for my self. I was also itching to do some photographing of my own and find a few caches too. This place was not disappointing! Thanks so much for placing a cache here! SL TFTC!

This was an easy find using the coords from previous logs. The lid is cracked but the cache seems to stay dry where it is hidden. TFTC

Ahhhhh..... another oldie for a challenge I'm working on. First off I solved this by using my topo software and came up with a set of numbers. Then I solved it via GSAK and waypoint projection. Finally I looked at the hint and what do you know all the numbers matched!!

Today wingsandtales and I were in the area working on some other caches for various objectives and getting oldies is one of them It is a bit of a hike up the hill, but the coords are spot on. We had no trouble, other than coming up the hill, in finding the cache.

Gotta go.... lunch is down in the cache mobile and we're hungry.

Yep... it is up there a bit.
