What could be better than a new park and trail system?

 

A park loaded with caches!

 

Come and enjoy the new Forest Lakes park and open space!

 

 

This one is just a few feet from the sidewalk around the north side of the lake.  Please be careful when replacing and be very mindful of muggles!  The area gets a lot of people in the evening!
 

 

The views are outstanding!  The calm and quiet are peaceful.  Take the time to enjoy it all!  Oh and bring the little ones!
 

 

While the park and trails are open to the general public the lake itself is not.  See the park rules below and take care to obey them!

So, what do you do after spending a few weeks in the deep freeze in Iowa especially when the temperatures are pushing 60 degrees? You guessed it, get outdoors and geocache. We were looking for a string of caches to get our legs moving and our lungs replenished. What a great area, new construction going up everywhere and some nice trails to boot. Just glad that there has been NO to very, very little pcpn (snow) here otherwise getting to the cache would have been a problem with the vertical drop in elevation. TFTC
