" This bug hotel cache is placed outside of DIA boundaries but just 5 miles from the terminal. You can drive or hike in. The cache contains only a log book, pen/pencil and started with 3 travel bugs and one "Where's George?" bill. Located near 71st and Tower Road (Exit 5) it can be accessed by travelers by taking a shuttle to the Holiday Inn Express, Ramada Limited & Suites or Days Inn located at that corner and hiking in. The cache is .24 miles from the NE corner of 71st and Tower. To hike in: walk along the dirt road from the above corner and turn East at N39 49.646 and W104 46.292. To drive in: You can drive to within 10 feet of cache by taking dirt road at the East end of 71st and following the road to the pump house. The start of this road currently has a lot of construction in the area and can get very muddy.


Please do not let this hotel become a prison. If there are more than a couple of bugs here, consider taking two (even if you can not leave any). This cache is here to get bugs moving and not to collect them ;-) I will replenish it if the need arises. Please do not leave other trade items/swag in cache other than travel bugs.

UPDATE: 6-1-10 You can now drive comfortably to within 100 feet of the cache from the hotel parking lot.

Dropped off a sweet trackable I picked up in Georgia. Perfect placement for a hotel as I was headed to the airport! There was only one other TB in there although the inventory indicates differently. Thanks for the smiley. [2940]

Interesting location. Perfect for a TB Motel so close to the airport. Sadly, could only identify one TB currently there, not the six listed as inventory.

Out for a walk before it got too dark. Thanks for placing this cache! I'm surprised that it has lasted all these years! Looks like construction may be slowly working its way to this area...but hopefully the good camo will protect it for a little while longer.
