The sundial and its brand new plaza is all fixed and ready to be revealed the first week of October. The Mayor will be there, but I will be out of town for the big reveal. I wanted to see if I could get this one before, as it hasn't been found in over a year. I was able to decipher the clues from prior pics I found on the internet. Interesting enough, Pikes Peak is now listed as 14,115' tall, several feet taller than I understood it to be when I first visited it in the 80's.
The cache was a little worn, but still there, yea! The baggie wasn't in good shape, and the log was a little damp. So I replaced the baggie with a new one.
Thanks for creating this one, it was a little tricky to find the right time to come and search. I probably drove by this park four times before but was thwarted by too many muggles playing or walking their dogs.

I believe the sundial and related info has been completely lost to construction (see photo of GZ).

We are sure we have the answers correct and the calculations right, but have been twice now and no luck. Drat!

The puzzle was easy to solve. We solved it with a denverite. She helped us very much but I think we could solved it without because everything is very easy. We found the cache container after a short seek. The Logbook is a littlebit wet but it's okay. I've put a very small geocoin in it. It's enough space for small geocoins. Please bring them closer to japan. So thanks for the puzzle and for the cache as well. Best greetings from Germany!

Had to do the math twice, well hidden and camo'ed, very interesting and busy park.

Enjoyed the walk in the park. Took a few minutes to find the final. Thanks for the cache! SL.

When I was visiting Denver in February 2015, we had just started geocaching (we did not even have a GPSr yet) and I was wondering about this puzzle. I tried to find the necessary information online but got different (and contradicting) values, which is why this cache was left on the not-solved list. At this time in our caching-carrier it did not even occur to me to check out GZ to see what is there.
Now, more than one and a half years later I was going to visit Denver again and this cache reappeared during my trip preparations. With the experience obtained in the meantime I was able to solve the puzzle easily while still being back at home. Computed coords looked good on the map and so I put his one on the ToDo-list for my visit.
Today in the morning I had an hour before heading over to Dinosaur Ridge and thus decided to walk over to the little park to check this one out. Lovely sundial and nice view over the park to the west. I was able to confirm my computations and then headed over to the final where I found the perfectly camo'd and well hidden little container. Signed the log, replaced as found and then walked to my favorite cupcake store (on Adams) to buy some celebratory pastries.
Thanks for the interesting, finally solved, puzzle, for showing me Sundial Park and for the nicely hidden cache.
Early morning, alone at the park
Logbook found in good conditions

Enjoyed the puzzle, the hide not so much--we're licking our wounds. Nice park. Mahalo and Aloha from Hawaii.
