National Hot Dog Day When : July 23rd National Hot Dog Day celebrates one of America's favorite summer sandwiches. It is only fitting that this dog gets its day. Its summertime. Hot dogs are center stage on the grill, and at picnics all across America. They are at the ballpark. They are sold from carts on street corners in every city. It's not hard to find them. We consume hundreds of millions of hot dogs on the Fourth of July alone. Enjoy National Hot Dog Day to the fullest. Have a couple of hot dogs for lunch or dinner. And, don't forget to cook a few on a stick at the evening campfire. What's in a hot dog? Don't' ask, and we won't tell. Sometimes, its best if you don't know. Happy National Hot Dog Day!

Out and about caching with heh324 on a gorgeous spring afternoon. The weather is supposed to turn worse tomorrow so we decided to go out and grab a bunch today. Heh324 needed this one for the 360° challenge so this was a must-have today.

I really like this series, except I'm always hungry afterwards. All I want to do now is go on a road trip to Chicago for some "red hots". Of course, I'd cache along the way and it would take a month to get there, but it would be worth it.

Oh yeah! We found your cache and did the "sign, replace, and head off to the next one" drill. Thanks for the fun hide.

Out today with fearthefish with the goal of earning me a number of degrees for the 360 challenge. This one was along our route and was a fun and quick find. TFTC

Thanks, poolsharkycat! Just what I had for lunch today at COSTO while I got my tires rotated this afternoon. It was pretty cold this morning, but I wanted to take advantage of the lighter traffic on the weekend to get some final caches for 2016. I run a pocket query the night before I go out geocaching, so I have about 1,000 caches to choose from. This was my first visit to this area, and I hope to be back for some more caches tomorrow morning to get a good start on 2017. After living and working for 19 years in Laredo, Texas, we moved here permanently to Arvada in March after I retired. We spend a lot of time with the grandchildren now.
