Akron, Colorado is ideally situated on the northeastern plains of Colorado. Located in Washington County, (of which it is the County Seat) Akron is located in the center of one of the major grain and livestock producing areas of the State. Washington County was created in 1887 from part of Weld County. In 1889 the east half was split off to form Yuma County. The south half of today's Washington County was added in 1903 from Arapahoe County.

Unless the coordinates are bad or I'm just blind the container is missing; I checked a small beacon only four feet or so from the GZ my GPSr gave me, and there was nothing in either of the two obvious hiding places. I did expand my search area a bit. I had no proper replacement container with me, so this one will just have to be another DNF. TFTC anyway!
