Here is another in a series of caches made from Trail Mix or nut jars. This is the 48th and the second to be placed in Hildebrand Ranch Park. Its predecessor TM #5 had to be archived because the area it was in was closed off. Two Brands Trail is a loop around Hildebrand Ranch which is one of Jefferson County's open space parks. This is a great trail that circles around the park and then through the nearby Trailmark neighborhood. The entire loop is about 5 miles.

It would be a great bike ride around the loop to find this and other caches in the park. The trail in the open space is dirt single track and is a fairly easy ride as trails like this go. This cache is near the beginning of the Black Bear Trail which is closed off a good part of the year. It connects Hildebrand Park to Deer Creek Canyon Park and if you want a highly challenging ride on a mountain bike, try this one with it's 67 switch backs. There are numerous videos on YouTube featuring the Black Bear Trail.

You can park at my parking way point or start in the Trailmark Neighborhood - your choice.

No shade here - wear a hat and bring water.

No need for bushwhacking.

There was a bit of thunder rumbling by the time I got to this one, but figured there was no turning back at this point. It has been a while since I found a trail mix. TFTC. On to the next.

Awesome series and nice hike to log #13000! Glad your brothers, Larry and Darryl, could help me reach this milestone. Sat and enjoyed the birdsongs and view before moving on. Adding a favorite point for the series, the hike and the views. Cheers!

WOO-HOO! I've been down "South of the Border" in Mexico the last 5 days, and was chomping at the bit to get back and find these new hides. This afternoon I busted out the Ol' Mountain bike and took a nice 5 mile ride in search of Geocache Gold. I was thankful for a wee bit of cloud cover at GZ, which definitely cooled me down a bit. After a brief search I had my hands on the prize. I happily added my stamp to the log, discovered some travel bugs and replaced as found. Very happy to keep my Trail Mix streak alive, and have now claimed a find on all 48 of them! Thanks Cajrrman for keeping my most favorite series of hides going, looking forward to 49, 50, and beyond. Earns a favorite from this Geodog, TFTC.

Out and about on a pleasant late spring day with "animjason" and "BearAdair", putting miles on the vehicle, having a few hikes, and finding some geocaches - this was the nineteenth of twenty-one of them - also, the third stop on a park-once-find-five excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !
