Bit more difficult now that everything is in full bloom. Was about to give up when we spotted it. TFTC

Today's adventure led us ( @intrepiidexplorer and @WindAtMyBack ) to the wilderness east of Castle Rock. We walked into Hidden Mesa to grab the caches and experience this beautiful day. The weather was cooperative - sunny, but not too hot. During our expedition we saw several hawks and hummingbirds, caught and released a fence lizard, and saw a few wild turkeys. Cactus flowers are in bloom. No snakes were sighted, but we saw evidence that one had recently crossed the walking path.
We started the day with this cache. If it was a snake it could have bitten me. Did a little CITO in the area. TFTC!

After a long day in the apartment, finally made my way to find the daily cache with Atomic Corgi. Just as the sun was getting ready to set, we made our way over to the parking lot and started the short walk over.

The tall grass went up to my knees but walking through wasn't that bad, even in shorts. When we finally made it over to ground zero, the search took a couple of minutes. Atomic Corgi was the one who ended up spotting the cache and I was searching about 20 feet in the other direction haha.

I made the retrieval for the cache and soon we were signing. Made it back in time before the sun even set which was nice.

TFTC SL!
