Today I set out to grab an FTF on Mt. Falcon. In Denver is was really warm. But at this elevation, it was the perfect temperature for a hike. Unfortunately, my FTF attempt was unsuccessful, but good news - I found all the other caches I looked for! During my journey I saw a chipmunk, a fox, and heard a variety of birds. The views along the mountain are beautiful!
Testing my phone GPS - which said 13 feet from where I stood at the cache. Pretty good. And it makes it even easier to find because of the beautiful cache. Container is stuffed with SWAG.
TFTC!

Very nice house, and surprisingly stout. We saw several deer mid-morning on the Two Dog trail, which was very quiet compared to the hustle & bustle of the Castle Trail. TFTC

Nice presentation! Scrambled down from above with two dogs in tow (well, actually, I was towed behind them). Very peaceful spot for a fairy to reside.

I found this with my sister on our way to the Summer White House. The majority of finding this cache was sliding around on pine needles. I'm not sure what would have been the best route. Very cute display, I haven't seen anything like it. Fav point for creativity.

Took a bit to find the right trail to the cache.
But great creative hide.
Worth a favorite point for the creative idea.

I'm working on filling my month/year grid and came here to find one of the older caches in the park. It was supposed to be cold and windy today, but it's cool and mild. I think the forecast kept a lot of people away, good for us because we got great spots to park and it's not crowded. I'm with my sister and niece, by this point my niece was looking for a "suspicious pile of rocks" or a "suspicious pile of sticks" everywhere we went. We truly turned this one into a bit of an adventure. We were up on the Two Dog Trail making a couple other finds and got to within 170 feet of this one. What's 170' of bushwhacking??? LOL I forget the change in elevation makes the trip so much longer. But we found a decent way to pick our way down, even the 7 year old did fine. I spotted our target first, and sat down on the rock right next to it because "I might be too tired to find this one." And invited my niece to sit next to me. Within seconds she found it and loved it - her favorite cache of the day. She talked about it the whole way back to the car. Didn't see a log, so I made a green dot on the bed. Some animals have nibbled on the contents slightly, but you can still figure out you're in the right place. My sister's a bit of a muggle so I doubt she'll log it online, but fickelchook was here, too. Thanks for the smiley! Find #2350.
