Dangerous Animals

Ladies, remember when you'd play with your girl friends back in the day and no boys were allowed?  When your biggest worry was getting cooties from a boy?  Oh, the good ole days!

This is ankle breaking rock territory, please use caution.  The cache is under a grayish rock.  Please re-hide well.  You shouldn't be able to see any part of the cache when hidden correctly. Look at the picture for a hint of the general location. You will have to stick your hand under a rock to find it (bring gloves) and watch for snakes! When I went back later in the day to check on it, it took me forever to find it! So good luck! Bring your own pen!

This is geocache #2 in this series.

Congratulations to WitzAbout for the FTF!

GPS was way off tonight, but the previous pics and tenacious children got us the smiley.

829th cache found. So I thought this one was going to be an easy one. I would drive to the location, look for the no boys allowed poster and figure out where the cache was. When I got to the GZ with the photo in hand, I realized there was no, "No Boys Allowed" poster planted in the rocks. Dang it, Hate rock caches. But I was not to be denied as I have never been known to follow the rules. Criss-crossed the rocks a couple of times and out of the corner of my eyes I caught a hint of color. Could that be it, or is it trash washed into the rocks? I got to where I thought I saw the color and noticed it resembled the picture. I took a leap of faith and had the cache in hand! I would have done a jig in celebration, but you are on rocks. Signed my name and moved on to the next challenge! TFTC

Kssweetie and I were out for a walk and to do some caching of course ;-) Lot's of rocks but eventually Kssweetie found what looked like the photo hint. Even then it took a bit of time to get to the cache. The only disappointment was what I assumed would be another cute little log book was not in the container nor the lid ;-( I had some scrap paper so we signed and put that in, plus I'll send a photo to the CoSnowBunny. Also, a big thank you to her for her productivity of late with all these clever caches! TFTH!!

These 2 caches would be almost impossible to find without the spoiler photos. Just too many rock to look under. Luckily, I found this one pretty quickly. Thanks

FTF 4:58pm. We were home taking it easy before KB had to go to work tonight. Was that a notification of a new cache again? Ok 17 minutes before: yes it was! Right in the same area as earlier today. Ok there is enough time to try this one.

Got to the spot, and the coordinates seemed to settle a little better. We figured with three experience of the earlier cache it might go faster. The total possible area of rocks was smaller, but seemed like a lot more possibilities. KB spotted a snake this time, matching the snake I saw earlier at the basics cache. Dark rain clouds were heading our way. Time to check the picture hint.

Took a little bit of time to match up to the picture. That looks like it. KB joined me and spotted the hide. Took us a minute to realize the log book was in the lid. Very, very cute. KB logged the cache, as no boys are allowed ;-) Got the find just before the rain came in. Thunder accompanied our retreat. Thanks for another fun cache hide!
