Fifth in a series, Growing up 50's-60's
The cache GZ is loacated on public property along the road of the swim and tennis club. The clubis just a hundred yards south of Bear Creek It is a private facility that my parents help establish in the late 50's. My father was the original President if my memory serves me well, remember him holding a Gold painted shovel for the "breaking ground" cermony's picture. I have spent many summer hours, days, months growing up at this pool as my mother would drop me off for swim team at 8am and i would take swim lessons after. Mom would give me money for lunch at the snack bar and would pick me up in the afternoon. This not not every day, just seemed like it
Back then in the 50's, Pierce Street was a dirt road that ended at Bear Creek itself. Back then if the water levels were low people would drive through the Bear Creek to a farm house and barn on the far side. That exact same location of the farm house became John F Kennedy Jr/Sr School were I went to school years later.
The cache is located on public land, it is NOT on private property and highly suggest parking further north on Pierce. The swim club has very clearly marking their property lines.
