Aspen Elk Mine - This adventure will lead you to a neat old mine, that has both Elk near by and a beautiful quakey of Aspens in the middle of Pine trees.

We saw two cow Elk in the field close to cache, so you may see them, or they might be watching you as you find the final

Please respect the mine and enjoy its beauty. Smile.

Please place the cache back as you found it.

Final - Just a short distance from the mine and try not to get STUMPED.

Spent quite a bit of time at posted coords but couldn't come up with anything useful. Would have tried to brute force it but there were a ton of ATV's today and I didn't want to deal with all the dust they were throwing up. I'll come back another time.

Beautiful spot, but couldn't find the first part.

Greetings from Alabama! After finding Tarryall, we gave this one a look on the way back to the highway. Unable to locate Stage 1 or figure out what we needed to be looking for. We tried to find the final by brute force like the previous finders, but that was unsuccessful too. Disappointed not to make the find here, but we had a great drive out here and really enjoyed the scenery.

12:44:00 PM We are visiting from Dallas. In Tour de France parlance, this was a "transfer stage." We ended our week in Salida and made our way to Divide for a week in one of our favorite places. Also attending a geocaching event in Colorado Springs this evening. BigSmile

Well, I was looking for a fairly easy-to-access multicache today to pick up the souvenir. This appeared to be one that didn't require 6 stages or a 3 mile hike. I have to admit that we didn't find stage 1 redirector. But we read the description and were able to locate the area of the final. I sometimes refer to my wife as "the cache whisperer." You guessed it. She spotted the final first. Whew! Beautiful spot.

I signed the log. Thanks, Sportslane, for placing this cache for me to find and allowing me to pick up the souvenir for this weekend.

Found this last year, but just wanted to make sure that I gave this a favorite tag!
