Third in the series of caches memorializing my late cat Bubba in the burn area of the 2/19/16 brush fire in the hills of Superior. No, Bubba didn't die in the fire but his spirit guards these hills and it was hard at work that day, protecting the nearby homes.

As of Jan. 2018, the gravel lot off of Colorado 128 is now property of Colorado Dept of Transportation and may no longer be used as parking lot. Best parking is on Snowmass Circle. Park and walk. There are several caches along this trail.

Cache is a metal container with room for souvenirs and travel bugs. Initial stock includes kitty toys and one travel bug.

Congrats to Vivi on the FTF!

#2 today with bunnyscout5. We enjoyed the hike up the mesa from the parking coordinates, but not the heat. The log book was a little damp and we signed in and enjoyed the view. TNLN TFTC

In the nearly 10 years I lived in Superior I never hiked this trail before. Shame on me. Now that I live out East, it took geocaching to finally get me to hike it. Go figure. Today was certainly a great day to do it. Thanks!

Thought I could ride my bike to the cache but left it in the parking lot. Along with my pen. Took a picture of the log instead. watched a single deer at the bottom of the valley, as she watched me. Enjoyed the Search - Thanks

Spent the morning with the Geodoodle exploring this area and finding a few caches along the way. Great views from up here!

Thanks for the pointers on parking and the spur trail...I appreciated them. Found the cache relatively quickly...found two other caches in the series - what a cool way to remember Bubba. Dropped off a pair of travelbugs traveling together in the spirit of love...figured this would be a somewhat fitting cache for them until the next cacher comes by. Thanks for placing this cache!

Found at 9:45 a.m., find no. 738.
