This is the first of several caches I am planning for the Orchard City, Colorado area. This one brings you right to "city center" for a short rest stop.
I like to think that Orchard City is a little like New York City, done Colorado style. As New York City has its "boroughs", O.C. has them too: Austin, Cory, and Eckert. Together, with all the farm land that surrounds them, these small communities comprise the 11.45 sq. mi. Orchard City. In his story, "How Three Communities Became Orchard City",
http://www.orchardcityco.org/index.aspx?NID=26 young Preston Benson gives the historical background on this Western Colorado "city".
Our first cache here is a micro, well camoflaged, in this neat little "Centennial Plaza Park" which is located near the Orchard City Town Hall. Congrats to skibum1 and W0RHZ for the FTF
