Took a beautiful walk at Mount Margaret today. This cache is still in great condition and ready to be found. The hint really helped us. Thanks for the cache.

Today seven members of the CMC had a wonderful snowshoe outing to "Mounts" Margaret, both the old and the new. The sun was shining and we were welcomed by 18 inches of fresh, untracked snow when we arrived at the trailhead. We donned our shoes and headed north. The Forest Service for years had a trail to this peak proclaiming it to be Mt. Margaret. Well that's not the case. The actual Mt Margaret is 0.4 miles northwest of this peak. But that doesn't diminish the great views one gets once on the top of this peak! It is a wonderful high point indeed. The fresh snow made the search more difficult but with some nudging by Denali41 (the CMC leader of this trip) the cache was in hand. Signed the log and then admired the views. Thanks ME&CC for this great cache!!!

Sunday morning was a great time hike along the trails of the Mount Margaret trail head. The sun was bright and breezes were fresh but not overwhelming. After finding the new Denali41 cache at the real Mount Margaret we meandered over to the City Slicker site to make the find there. The view of the ranch land below was wondrous. Everything looked neat, clean and slick. I poked around a bit before making the find but relied on a good coordinate fix to help in the search. Trails were a mixture of bare dirt and rocks to snowy and icy stretches that were crunchy to begin with and slushy later in the afternoon after finishing our hike. Thanks for this great spot and the great hide.

I hiked up to this overlook with my puppy Orizaba today. Because the cache had not been found for a long while, I checked on it. It's in place and things are in order. I had the FTY on this cache in 2009, and enjoy this spot a lot.

I'll admit I'm a terrible micro cacher, DNF, took the LONG way in 0/2 :-( The fires, clearing and storms did a number on the remote caches hes the last few years.... NICE end of trail though!
