Needs maintenance

This cache is roughly a 1/4 mile hike in from the main road. Would highly recommend hiking in to it. Easy hike most of the way and just slighly harder when you get closer. Beautiful area, please be respectful of this BLM property. Also, remember that wildlife is abundant in this area so you might see any number of animals.
Neat 2002 Olympic Chefs' hat pin for FTF and a geocoin. Good luck!! We had a lot of fun placing this one.

Somewhere along the trail to this very tricky find, we dropped her pen and we're not able to sign the log in :-( this is by far me and the kids hardest but most exciting discovery. Signed #crazyCooleycrew

Started doing a construction project in Delta area in spring of '14, ended up moving here and had this area on our bucket list since the beginning. Started by clearing ALL of Grand Mesa that first year and just now getting out this side of the Gunnison to beginning clearing it, getting some of Crawford Collins newer caches at same time.

Having read the past logs, we came to this cache well prepared with several different sizes of threads, ropes, and even wire and leathermans ! prepared to repair the cache. Found the cache easily enough but still not sure about the "contraption" part of it, glanced up and FOUND the other part! Probably not exactly like it was originally but it now is certainly a "contraption" that will make the kidos dance to operate it! The only sad part is that on approach to GZ I laid all the ropes on the ground to free the hands to operate the GPS, found GZ and then had the Ms. go back the 70' and bring me a specific rope. Already home when realized the ropes are still all on the ground up there, probably enough to keep it in repair for our lifetime! HA! (if you can find them, 50-70' to East NE from GZ, several of the hanks were some pretty nice rope, hated loosing all of them but not worth the return trip) TFTC SL Team kekj

Off about 43 feet WNW of posted coordinates. Fun hide, almost ran into it in the search. Appreciate the hide..

Contraption is out of order. parts were seen nearby and the cache was on the ground attached to a decomposing rope. Left cache tied to the tree under which it was found with deteriorated rope.

Found it but barely. Recent logs gave us a better idea of the location as it was not at the posted coordinates. The contraption is no longer. Parts were seen in the vacinity but the cache was on the ground attached to a completely deteriorated rope. Signed log and left it tied to the tree with the deteriorated rope. May not last for long.
